Alma Woodsey Thomas - Georgia Women of Achievement

HEMPHILL is pleased to share a short video celebrating Alma Woodsey Thomas' induction into Georgia Women of Achievement.

Founded by Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, Georgia Women of Achievement honors and celebrates the legacies of inspirational women in the state of Georgia.

GWA is grateful to Mrs. Carter and the other founding members for their inspiration and dedication to Georgia's history, specifically the consistent reminder of Georgia's women of history. Together with Mrs. Carter, Robert Ackerman, Frank Jones, Valeria Murphey, Nancy Anderson, Neva Fickling, Eleanor Lane and Colleen Nunn worked tirelessly from 1988-1992 to create Georgia Women of Achievement.
